As promised, here are a few of my favorites from Katelyn’s bridal session! What an amazing girl, dress, and session!
Loved, loved her beautiful Melissa Sweet dress!!

Katelyn just oozes grace and confidance in everything she does. I think she would be beautiful swimming in a trash can!

Tree-lined dirt road? Ummm … yes, please!!

How cute is she!?!

A full post about her wedding to Chad coming soon!
Check back soon for her Bridal Session that I’ve been dying to show you!

Had a great session tonight at Cheekwood with Karen and John! Here’s a quick favorite … more to come!

Many of you know that we had a sweet precious baby boy about 6 months ago. I can’t even begin to describe how much we love being his parents, but of course there have been many difficult moments of sleepless nights, endless feedings, etc. along the way. Whenever I’m having a hard time though, I just think of my friend Kitty who is doing the same thing … x2!!
Kitty and Tucker had twin boys earlier this year and so when I was in Birmingham, we got together to photograph them as a surprise gift for Tucker’s first Father’s Day! I have definitely developed a soft spot for little boys now, so I seriously fell madly in love with them. I wish I could have stuck one of them in my camera bag to take home with me!
I knew I was going to love this shot as it was unfolding … something about the clean light and those two precious little heads sticking out (oh, and not to mention Kitty’s super awesome house!) just got me!

Little toes:
Tucker, you are a lucky man!
The models waiting for a little pick-me-up snack:

Believe it or not, Kitty was actually cooking dinner … FOR SOMEONE ELSE!!!! … while we were shooting. I mean, talk about a multi-tasking mom!
Stephen (left) and Richmond (right):

Brothers with the quilts that their great-grandmother made them … precious!
Happy Father’s Day, Tucker!

Kerra and Chris’s wedding was such an awesome day! After their engagement session and Kerra’s bridal session, we had quickly become very attached to them! Their wedding day was so unique and went off without a hitch, thanks to Meghan of M.Elizabeth Events. We LOVE working with good coordinators … the day is so much less stressful for everyone. Thanks, Meghan!
Their lovely ceremony was on the campus of Samford University where they met and fell in love. It’s such a beautiful place to shoot, though I may be a little partial since it’s my Alma Mater too! It’s always so fun to be back in my old stomping grounds!
I looooooved Kerra’s bridesmaids dresses, complete with these awesome broaches.
Beautiful bride!

This photo of Chris and his guys totally describes the tone of the day … so fun!

Kerra’s mom helps her put on her veil:
Post-ceremony … hooray!

Okay … brace yourself. You’re about to die. I can’t tell you how many brides I’ve talked to who are searching for the perfect renovated barn for their reception. Seriously. I get emails all. the. time. from brides asking if I know of any such venue. I searched for one for my own wedding. I was thoroughly convinced that this perfect venue that so many girls dream of doesn’t exist … until Kerra’s reception.
Yup, the perfect wedding reception stables, with beautiful wood, an amazing loft, a huge stone fireplace, etc. This seriously is probably my favorite reception venue that we’ve ever shot. A few details so you can envision the magic:

Kerra and Chris danced the night away!

Sweet Kerra and Chris ~ Congratulations on such a beautiful wedding, but more importantly a beautiful marriage!! Thanks for including us!

I’ve said it before and I’ll say it a million times over: I love love love weddings at home. This year we have several amazing weddings at homes and Katie and Clint’s wedding kicked off a string of several in a row! What a summer!!
Katie’s parents have a beautiful home in Nashville, TN, and we were thrilled to be a part of their day!
Getting ready in the master suite:

Katie’s niece Marlie was the flower girl … can you even stand the cuteness?

I was super bummed when I found out that my favorite assistant/husband wasn’t going to be able to shoot with me that day. But it turned out SO great because the amazing and talented Katie of K. Mosley Photography came along to help me out! It was so fun shooting with a good friend, and she totally rocked it! Exhibit A ~ Clint and his best man before the ceremony:

Excited to be getting married? Yes … just a little!
The beautiful ceremony centered around this gorgeous tree:

Taking a break from the reception on a warm summer day … love this!
Under the tree where they were married …
Congratulations Katie and Clint!!
A little preview of last night’s beautiful celebration!

A couple of weeks before Kerra’s wedding, Adam and I headed to Birmingham, AL for Kerra’s bridal session! I was so excited to see her Anne Barge dress that she had described to me and wow … stunning! I’m such a sucker for lace!! So excited that I can finally share these now that they are married!!
The weather didn’t really cooperate but we actually got some super fun shots because of being forced to shoot indoors!

The stairwell we were using must have been the place where furniture goes to die because there were all of these mis-matched chairs piled underneath it. Um, yes please!!

Loved loved these Peep Toe shoes!

Check back for photos from their wedding!
